About OhMyCatch

OhMyCatch is a local-first personal fishing journal for iPhone. Your catches, photos, and spots stay on your device in v1.0. There is no OhMyCatch account and no OhMyCatch cloud sync in this release.

Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone, inside the OhMyCatch app sandbox (local database and files). Uninstalling the app removes that local data.

Why does OhMyCatch ask for location, camera, or photos?

  • Location: optional, to show you on the map and record catch locations you choose
  • Camera / Photos: optional, to attach catch photos or save catch cards to your library

You can deny these permissions and still use the journal with reduced features.

Can I recover data after deleting the app?

Not in v1.0. There is no OhMyCatch cloud backup. Keep your own exports or photos if you need a copy outside the app.

Does OhMyCatch track me or show ads?

No. v1.0 does not include OhMyCatch analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
